Can I keep the water chiller outdoors?Updated 4 hours ago
Yes, you can keep the chiller outdoors, but please follow these guidelines:
Covering: While the chiller is waterproof, using a cover protects it from harsh weather and helps extend its lifespan. Do not cover it while it’s running—leave at least 40 cm of space around it for airflow.
Electrical Safety: Always use a RCD (residual current device) protected socket and a suitable 10 A grounded extension lead. During severe weather, such as lightning storms, bring the chiller indoors for safety.
Freezing Temperatures: To prevent damage, keep the chiller running in freezing conditions. If you need to turn it off, drain the water by disconnecting the hoses and store it indoors.
Remember, the chiller is designed for warm conditions to keep your water cold. In freezing weather, your water will naturally stay cold without the chiller running.
