How do I keep my IcePod water clean?Updated 4 hours ago

Keeping your IcePod water fresh and safe is all about regular care and maintenance. Here are some practical steps:

  • Clean between water changes: Use a gentle, perfume-free soap or a natural antibacterial cleaner to scrub the IcePod interior. A soft brush or our cleaning pad works well for removing any scum or residue without damaging the pod.

  • Control bacteria and odours: You can add a small amount of food-grade hydrogen peroxide (around 3–7%), 30–60 ml of solution per week to the water to reduce bacteria and prevent odours. Always follow safe dilution guidelines and add sparingly.

  • Maintain pH balance: If needed, a tiny amount of baking soda can help maintain a slightly alkaline environment, which slows bacterial growth.

  • Regular circulation: Swirling the water or using a Water Circulation Jet helps prevent solid ice formation in colder months and keeps the water evenly cold.

  • Cover your IcePod: Always use a lid or cover when not in use to keep debris out and reduce heat loss.

  • Change water regularly: Depending on usage, aim for a full water change every 2-3 weeks.

For longer periods between water changes, consider a Water Chiller. Its continuous 24/7 circulation and built-in filtration help maintain optimal conditions, reduce scum, and keep the water refreshingly cold.

Important: Avoid using harsh chemicals like chlorine or bromine, as these can damage the IcePod and irritate the skin.

Following these steps will help you keep your ice bath water clean, safe, and ready for your next session.
