How much ice do I need to add?Updated 4 hours ago
To keep your IcePod at the desired temperature, we recommend adding 7–18 kg of ice per session, depending on your initial water temperature. The amount of ice needed will vary based on factors such as your tap water temperature, local climate, and how cold you want the water to be. In cooler climates, you may find that you don’t need to add ice at all.
If you're looking for additional ways to manage your water temperature or want it extra cold, here are some options:
Ultra-Insulated Cover Set: This set includes a lid and a wrap-around cover with a 12 mm insulating layer, helping to keep the water colder for longer. For the LongPod, consider the Long Tub Insulated Cover Set.
Water Circulation Jet: This jet keeps water moving at a flow rate of 10,000 litres per hour, which makes the water feel around 45% colder. It also helps prevent solid ice formation in colder climates.
Water Chiller: For a consistent and hassle-free solution, our chiller cools the water to a refreshing 4°C with continuous 24/7 water flow and 20-micron filtration.
Using the cover and circulation jet will always make the water feel colder, but in conjunction with the chiller, they also maximise your cooling efficiency.
If a chiller isn’t within your budget, consider our Ice Bricks. Each Ice Brick provides approximately 1.4 kg of ice, with a total of 7–14 kg per set, helping you maintain your desired water temperature effectively.
