To get the full health benefits of cold water therapy, it’s best to immerse yourself in water below 15°C for around three to eight minutes. The effectiveness of cold water therapy depends on finding the right balance between time and temperature, which can vary from person to person.

If you’re new to cold water therapy, we recommend starting your sessions at about 15°C. This gives your body a chance to get used to the cold. As you continue using the IcePod, you can gradually lower the temperature and extend the length of each session. With regular use, many people can comfortably tolerate temperatures below 8°C.
